Flower Power

Had a fun weekend, and today I went to the track to watch my Step Sister Monica race her bike. Took some pictures, but nothing to write home about. a) it takes practice getting pics of someone going 150mph or greater, b) I lack the proper equipment [a fast zoom lens] c) I just wasn't able to get a good spot optimal for shooting. I guess I'll leave that one for the guys who's primary profession is such, and they have probably invested thousands of dollars on a single lens for this purpose. The do a fantastic job! Afterwords, I went to Mom's house for dinner. We walked over to see her neighbor, and I got some fantastic flower shots in her yard. I also found this great bee hive! It was pretty cool looking, but I am very allergic to bees, so that was a little scary! I only walked over w/one lens, I should grabbed my zoom so I could get a better shot and stay far away. Well, the shot below is good enough. Funny, because 'good enough' is NEVER good enough for me...BUT IT WAS THIS TIME!

Bella

Bella and I had some fun yesterday at my Mom's house. She lost a tooth, so we were documenting that with pictures. She got bored real quick with having her picture taken...especially once her cousin's got there. Here are a few cute shots we got.

Peek~a~boo! King County Baby Photography

Natalee hasn't seen the camera much since June, so this past Wednesday when she came for her weekly visit, I decided it was time for a mini-photo session! She had lots of fun, and as soon as the camera came out, she started putting on a show. Some serious, some smiling, but for sure, all for the camera!

She gives our Mickey Mouse bobble head a kiss after having fun and bopping his nose so his head shakes.

We play some "Peek~a~Boo"

...finally she says 'enough of the paparazzi!' and trys to grab my camera. LOL

Blissful Baby! Pierce County Baby Photographer

I did a baby photo shoot in July! Meet Connor, he was about 4 months at the time of his sitting. I had lots of fun! I have to say there was something about this little guy that was so sweet. I don't even think he cried once. Here is just a little peek of a few photos we got out of many! Thank you Kari for letting me photograph him!

Happenings this Summer

So the other day I showed you some pics from the Senior Photo shoot I did, and said I would be updating on some of the other things I did this summer. So I'll start off in June. The end of June I finally wrapped up a web page for some good friends of mine. I was excited, and they were pleased as well! I decided that the web design side of my business will pay for the photography side, as right now there is so much I want! So I invested that into more equipment.

Check out the website http://www.vikingdrywall.com/

Stay tuned for more from my summer.

Danica ~ Senior Class of 2010 - Western Washington Senior Portrait Photographer

So I haven't been so good about blogging. In fact, it's been nearly 3 months. Alot has gone on in that time, I've been fundraising for my youngest daughters Cheer, finished up a website, did baby portraits, shot a friends wedding reception, went out of town and got some great pictures, had my annual Luau, shot pictures at a friends annual party, and I will probably take time to catch everybody up on all of that. Right now I want to share my most recent photo shoot! Meet Danica... She is a Class of 2010 Senior. We had a great time! I arrived at 5pm, and to start we spent time at the house. She even talked Grandpa into letting her have some photo's done with his Classic T-Bird, as well as getting some shots in her Soccer gear! Then for the part of the shoot I was most excited about (and I think she was too) the Railroad Tracks! Danica posed in front of train cars, on the tracks and even climbed on the cars. That made her Dad nervous, and I have to admit I was too! To end the day, we headed to Lake Meridian just in time for Sunset. I've finally finished editing the photos, and can't wait to start working on the photo book! Thank you Danica, I hope you had as much fun as I did!
